All but one poster revealed at damoncarltonandapolarbear.com
With a wildly successful sell-out of all 15 LOST-inspired posters celebrating the first five seasons (and promoting the sixth season and final hurrah) … Paul Scheer’s partnership with Ronie Midfew Arts is coming to an end.
It all began with damoncarltonandapolarbear. Paul Scheer, a LOST fan himself, showed up in the audience at Comic-Con and … well, here, why don’t you take a look at the video in this link.
The story then took an interesting turn when Scheer and Ronie Midfew Arts (an anagram for Widmore Fine Arts) joined forces to celebrate LOST fandom. Here’s the scoop on their partnership.
Sixteen empty pictures frames appeared on the damoncarltonandapolarbear site, and to-date, fifteen of them have been filled with glorious LOST-themed poster art. Tomorrow (12/15), “The Lost Underground Art Project” will open and you’ll have the opportunity to see all 16 works at once -- as well as 25 brand new original pieces being designed specifically for the event. The show is being held at Gallery1988 in Los Angeles, although LOST fans anywhere in the world will be able to participate online.
Curiously, there were exactly 300 signed and numbered copies of each print available – but Scheer clearly says only 200 in this video. Could it be an oversight? Not likely. Wonder what it all means? The sixteenth and final frame, differentiated by a red question mark (the others were white), will be revealed at tomorrow’s event.
Each poster initially appeared at its own dot com address, and each address was taken from a LOST quote: 1 – Actually it’s ketchup; 2 – That and basket weaving; 3 – We were caught in a net; 4 – I can get you peanut butter; 5 – I think that man was you; 6 – Huck Finn was taken; 7 – I am trying to buy some jerky and a slushy; 8 – Runs a very tight operation; 9 – You might want to consider hiking boots; 10 – Trust me, just leave it be; 11- I took a couple of flying lessons; 12 – No oyster here; 13 – Did you bury it; 14 – No such thing as curses; 15 – Well it’s a delicious sandwich; and 16 - (not yet revealed).
And here’s the intricately designed invitation to tomorrow's event:

Your opinion counts: What will the 16th frame reveal? And why does Paul Scheer say there were only 200 copies of each print? Could there be 100 more available as a holiday gift from Darlton? Be sure to follow DCPB and Gallery1988 to watch as the details unfold.

they sold only 200 of each print and then left the last 100 for the painter, people that work for the show, etc. Also when one was lost in the mail, it came from this left over supply. My friends are sitting out side the Gallery right now 17 hours away from the first showing of the painting waiting for it to open up. I wish I was there !
Thanks for the heads-up, Lisa. :) I hope your friends will take some awesome pictures and share them with you! And if they learn anything you'd like to see posted here, feel free to email me.
