"Lost" TV Finale draws Heavy Gambling Action

The ABC television series “Lost” will no doubt rank among the top TV show of all-time.  Over the course of 6 seasons, Lost drew millions of viewers every Tuesday night, and was consistently one of the top-rated shows during its 6-year run.  And whether people tuned in intently or were watching Lost while playing some free hold em poker, a whopping 13.5 million viewers watched the final episode.  Some of the people watching even had some action on the show!

That’s because numerous sportsbooks across the Internet put out lines regarding what would happen in the show’s finale.  Those who are familiar with the show understood the possible scenarios offered through the lines such as whether or not one of the final four crash survivors (Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley) would die (+150), if Jacob turned out to be the smoke monster (+180), if Walt would make an appearance on the final show (+1,000), and whether or not the Man in Black would destroy the island (+500).

 Bookmaker.com especially offered lots of odds on Lost.  Here were some of the featured Lost bets:

 (+120) Juliet is the mother of Jack’s son.

(+300) The parallel survivors of the crash would return to the island and fight themselves on the actual island.

(+340) The Man in Black will get off of the island.

(+2,500) The entire island and all of the events that happened throughout the show were a dream.

 Out of all the wagers that were offered, only two of the scenarios happened.  The first bet to come through was when Juliet was revealed to be the mother of Jack’s son (+120).  The other scenario that happened was when one of the final four crash survivors died (+150); Jack died at the very end of the show.
