Hawaii’s own Lost will debut the first episode of its final season Saturday, Jan. 30 at Waikiki’s Sunset on the Beach movie screen. A special treat for residents and tourists in the area, the rest of the country will wait until ABC airs the episode Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 9:00 pm EST and 8:00 pm HST.
The Waikiki Improvement Association negotiated with ABC for the rights to air the episode on its 30-foot screen located at Queen’s Surf Beach across from the Honolulu Zoo. According to the WIA’s recorded message, activities will begin around 9:00am with craft vendors; food and live entertainment starts at 5:00pm; and the episode will begin after sunset, around 6:30pm. It is rumored that members of the cast will also be in attendance. More information will be available as details are finalized. For the most recent updates, call the WIA at (808) 923-1094.
Bring picnic gear, snacks, and warm clothing, as we are in the midst of a cold spell, which according to the Weather Channel, is predicted to hold for the remainder of the month. Expect lows around 63-65 degrees Fahrenheit.
