In an announcement yesterday, video game publisher Capcom USA revealed that they would be releasing the third game in the “Lost Planet” series in North America this June.
In “Lost Planet 3”, gamers will be heading to the deadly planet of E.D.N. III, where they step into the shoes of Jim, a rig pilot who takes a job with NEVEC, seeking out resources in order to help colonize the planet. During his mission however, Jim is attacked by Akrid and saved by Mira, the daughter of the Snow Pirate’s leader, So’ichi. As Jim learns that NEVEC isn’t the only group of humans inhabiting E.D.N III he will be forced to make some tough choices while also learning that the Akrid may not be the only hostile force he will have to face.
“Lost Planet 3” will be available in North America for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on June 25, 2013. Screenshots from the game can be found in the slideshow up top and a trailer can be found below.
