Bo’s dawning has finally arrived. This is it, no turning back. First off, let’s just talk about the dawning experience overall. Did anyone else expect something a little bit more challenging? All Bo has to do was find a key, and when she takes the wrong key, she is transported into an alternate life. Hale and Dyson apparently had challenging tasks of sorts, and Bo didn’t really have any of that. There isn’t anything draining like Stella implies there would be by giving Bo a feast of models to feed on. It’s a lot of hype for something that doesn’t exactly deserve it. Do you agree?

Another issue with the dawning is Dyson’s presence. He clearly makes a big sacrifice by agreeing to be Bo’s hand. Later, it is explained that Dyson gives up his life to help Bo pass the dawning. Honestly, it’s a kind of poor explanation. The tie in with the caretaker is nice, but the writers should have thrown in a bit more history or mythology. Maybe Kenzi or Lauren could have asked about this and gotten the details from either Stella or Trick. Also, Bo moves on to the next part of the dawning without Dyson, so how is it that he is there to help her in the end? There are a lot of gaps when it comes to the dawning storyline. What are your theories on how exactly Dyson ends up being in the right place to help Bo?

On the off chance that Bo doesn’t survive the dawning, a lot will change for people, Kenzi in particular. Yes, she will lose a sister, but she will also lose her home. Kenzi’s fear of being abandoned if Bo doesn’t survive is a nice touch. The conversation she has with Bo is great, but the one with Trick takes the cake. Kenzi and Trick haven’t always had the best relationship, and so it is great to see just how far they have come. Hopefully soon Kenzi will say something nice about Trick, although it makes sense that she would have a sarcastic comeback after Trick says she is basically family to him. Did you love Kenzi and Trick’s moment?
