The dead have risen, and they are after Bo. Thankfully, Acacia happens to be in the neighborhood and saves Bo. This is quite a coincidence. The focus is on Rainer, but it is not really on Rainer. There is not a lot that is revealed about him, but Acacia and Tamsin do have a couple chats about the Wanderer. The most important part of revenant storyline is that it shows that people know that is all powerful seed that was stolen from Trick exists, and that people will do anything to get their hands on it. What did you think of the revenant storyline?
Kenzi’s family decides to drop by. What a pleasant surprise. It is always great to see more of Kenzi’s family because she doesn’t talk about her family life a lot. This is a heartbreaking storyline for numerous reasons, but first let’s talk about Hale and Kenzi. The proposal comes out of nowhere. The writers have barely showcased them as a couple going through typical dating storylines. It almost feels like the writers knew they were going to kill off Hale, and so to create the most painful situation possible, they made Hale propose. Don’t get me wrong, I love Kenzi and Hale, but I do not like how their relationship was handled. There could have been great double date type situations happening. Basically all we see is Hale coming clean about his feelings towards her, the Krampus party that never ends with them working towards having sex for the first time, and then this proposal. Kenzi and Hale were barely in a relationship before he proposed. What did you think of Kenzi and Hale during this episode?
Here are quick thoughts on elsewhere in the episode. Kenzi and her mom had a good storyline. The writers talk about the circumstances that led to Kenzi being on the street. It is great to get this backstory on Kenzi. Vex and Trick spend time together….alone. It’s shocking, right? The two of them are an interesting pair, and aside from the humor moments, the writers actually have some nice bonding moments between the two. What did you think of the episode?
