“La Fae Époque” is tonight’s episode of “Lost Girl.” Warning: this article does contain spoilers. To review what happened last time, click here. Check out the slideshow for more quotes from the episode. “Lost Girl” airs Monday nights at 9 on Syfy.

It’s flashback time. This is a Dyson-centric episode, and I can’t remember the last time we had one of those. A long time ago, Dyson was accused of murdering a bunch of fae and humans. There are many great things about this storyline. It allows viewers to see how Dyson met Trick, and what Dyson was like way back then. There isn’t much of a focus on Dyson’s timeline, so it is hard to remember what happened before that lead Dyson to being a thief and sleeping with lots of women. Did you enjoy the Dyson flashback?

Dyson’s storyline also sheds more light on some other things. The Wanderer is mentioned, in passing, in Dyson’s flashback. Now it doesn’t really tell much, but it gives a way for Bo to draw him out – the hell shoes. Also, it is nice that the writers are acknowledge the Wanderer-induced memory loss. Still, there aren’t answers, but the writers are showing how far the Wanderer’s grasp is, and how far back it goes. Also, the writers showcase the Una Mens’ power. They have the capability to execute fae for something that happened long ago. You would think there would be a statute of limitations or something. It is a little unclear what the Una Men’s intention in all of this was. Did the Una Mens really think Dyson was guilty or was all of this a rouse to get the hell shoes?

Here are quick thoughts on elsewhere in the episode. It is nice to have the side storylines of Lauren keeping watch over Bo as well as Dyson telling the story to Kenzi. They are small moments, but they are great. The flashback sex scene goes on a bit too long. It seems like it was the writers have a sex scene just to have a sex scene. They could have cut down the scene a bit and focused on showing more of a different storyline. It really didn’t add anything to the narrative overall. What did you think of the episode?
