In less than one month the whole country will be shifting from holiday eating to getting healthy for their New Year’s Resolutions. What if there was a way you could be paid to lose weight? Daily Finance reported on Dec. 3. 2013, that there are three ways to make money while you work to shed the extra pounds.
January is a hot money for DVD sales, fitness books, and gym memberships, but what if you could motivate people by having them bet on their ability to lose weight? There are three different companies that can help you make some money off your own weight loss.
The first is Dietbet. Dietbet has two ways to bet. First is you lose 4% of your weight in 30 days and you will be able to split the pot between all the participants who bet. The cost of the bet is a minimum of $20. The other method is losing 10% in six months. If you succeed, you will get to split the pot been the other successful participants. Many of those who participate in this challenge claim to almost double their investment.
The second way to make money and lose weight is Gym Pact. How this works is, you decide how often you are going to work out, and what it will cost you if you don’t. While you are at the gym working out, you clock in, so to speak. If you are committed and exercise like you said you would, at the end of the term you will be able to spilt the loot from the exercisers who lost their motivation.
Lastly is Healthy Wage. This program will give anyone who is obese (over a 30 BMI) $100 if they reach a healthy BMI (25) in one year. They have other challenges you can bet your own money in, and win up to $10,000. It is one of the best weight loss challenges out there.
