We have seen a great amount of anthologies as of late and it’s pretty exciting. From All Hallows Eve, Sanitarium, ABC’s Of Death and Tom Holland’s Twisted Tales we are seeing a trend that was around during the pinnacle of horror. Well don’t think for a second that blood and gore are the only viable options for an anthology. Thrillers are getting into the mix as well and our first indication is the new film from Brother’ Ink Productions Locker 13.
After viewing the trailer it does have a horror feel to it but the stories are solid and full of suspense.
Skip, the nighttime janitor in an Old West theme park, delves into the mysteries surrounding an old locker. His sage supervisor recounts chilling tales that underscore the importance of making the right choice. The recollection includes an aging boxer who is given an opportunity to become a real killing machine, a young man seeking membership in a secret society who experiences an initiation with deadly consequences, a would be suicide shaken to his core by a menacing member of a very special club, and a hit man for hire playing a devious cat and mouse game with three women who have a score to settle. The stories suddenly come into play when Skip makes an unsettling discovery and faces a life-or-death decision of his own.
Of course anytime an anthology is upon us the most obvious questions are who is in it and who directed the segments? In Locker 13 we are treated to such talented filmmakers as Bruce Dellis (A. Lincoln: A Life Embellished) Jason Marsden (Suicide Club) Matthew Mebane (Mr. and Mrs. Smith), Adam Montierth (Reveille) and Donovan Montierth (Suicide Club). The cast in Locker 13 should sound pretty familiar to everyone with names like Ricky Schroder, Jon Gries, Rick Hoffman, Krista Allen, Tatyana Ali, Jason Marsden, Curtis Armstrong, Bart Johnson, Jon Polito, and Jason Spisak.
Look for more on Locker 13 soon and enjoy the trailer images!
