Two bakeries in Los Angeles brought their A-game: national cupcake chain Crumbs Bake Shop and West Hollywood's modern French bakery, Plaisir. Also, Bottega Louie sold Lakers macarons in their gourmet marketplace on the day of Game 7.
Available at all LA locations for a limited time, Crumbs Bake Shop offers purple and yellow frosted cupcakes in two flavors: chocolate with vanilla frosting and vanilla with vanilla frosting. Purple and yellow sprinkles have never served a greater purpose! According to blogger Cupcake Activist, "if you ask nicely, Crumbs will customize any of your favorite cupcake flavors to be a LA Lakers cupcake."
Plaisir, the new French bakery that has WeHo buzzing, boasts the "best cream puff in Los Angeles." If you're a die hard Lakers fan, opt for the purple-iced cream puffs filled with lemon. If you're not a Lakers fan, sneak in some green Irish cream-flavored cream puffs.
