Los Angeles Elementary School teacher arrested for sexually abusing 20 students (Video)

Fox News reported on Jan. 24, 2013, that a former teacher of the George De La Torre Jr. Elementary school in the Wilmington district in Los Angeles was arrested on accusations of sexually abusing 20 students and one adult.

Robert Pimentel, who worked as a teacher for over 35 years, has been charged with 15 felonies. Moreover, he is further expected to be charged with wrongdoings for the remaining cases.

The 57-year-old teacher, who taught in Wilmington district since 1974, left his fourth-grade teaching job in March last year at the beginning of the investigations.

The inquiries against the teacher commenced after many students reported abuse against him to their parents.

The incident was first reported by MyFoxLA.com when an 11 year-old told the portal that Pimentel tried to abuse her classmate by ‘rubbing up against her’ during school.

Pimentel was immediately fired from campus after officials came to know about the allegations against him.
