The new LACBA offices, 26th and 27th floors.
Earlier this year, the Los Angeles County Bar Association moved it's conference centers and administrative offices to a new location in downtown Los Angeles. On September 24, 2009, LACBA will hold a grand opening.
This free grand opening event will be a great opportunity, as a law student member of LACBA, to mingle and network with what is sure to be a whose who list of the legal profession in Los Angeles County. Slated to attend are judges, government attorneys and lawyers from big and small firms alike.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will include LACBA President Don Mike Anthony, California Supreme Court Justice, Carlos Moreno and California State Controller, John Chiang. Entertainment will be provided by the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic, an orchestra made up entirely of lawyers, and American Idol finalist Chikezie Eze. The event will be catered by Morton's Steakhouse.
You must be a LACBA law student member to attend this event. Advance registration is required. Incidentally, becoming a LACBA law student member will set you back just $15. The new LACBA facilities are at 1055 West 7th Street, Floor 27, Los Angeles, California.
For more information about this event, to register, ask a question or to become a LACBA Law Student member, contact LACBA Member Services at (213) 896-6560. Online registration and more information are also available online here.
