Lori Loughlin stars in 'Garage Sale Mystery' movie series on Hallmark

“Garage Sale Mystery,” starring Lori Loughlin is the first movie series to be greenlit into the new Hallmark Movie Channel Mystery Wheel, according to a March 13, 2014 media announcement from Hallmark. The series is based on the Hallmark movie of the same name.

Within the Mystery Wheel Franchise for 2015, is a three-part, two-hour series of films airing in alternation of each other. Hallmark Movie Channel has announced three mystery movie series, called the Mystery Wheel. "Garage Sale Mystery" is to be followed by the series "The Gourmet Detective," starring Dylan Neal ("Cedar Cove"). A third mystery series, to be announced, will be greenlit soon.

“Garage Sale Mystery,” starring Lori Loughlin (“When Calls the Heart,”“Full House,” "Meet My Mom"), originally premiered on Hallmark Channel September 14, 2013. Loughlin has most recently been seen in When Calls the Heart," a popular Hallmark series, set in a Canadian coal mining town,that inspired a loyal fan base referred to on social media as #Hearties.

In “Garage Sale Mystery,” Lori Loughlin stars as Jennifer Shannon, an expert garage sale treasure hunter, who seems to stumble upon mysteries in the course of her travels. Jennifer has a keen eye for detail and natural problem solving instincts, which inspire her to help the police solve mysteries and crime. The movie franchise will continue to follow Jennifer as she scours the sales for hidden treasures and clues.

“Great mysteries have always been a strong part of Hallmark Movie Channel’s brand,” said Michelle Vicary, EVP, Programming for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel. “The nature of the franchise compels viewers to come back for more suspenseful action from their favorite characters each week and become invested in each series’ thrilling extended storylines,” concluded Vicary.

The Mystery Wheel franchise on Hallmark Movie Channel puts the focus on the popular genre of cozy mysteries in family friendly programs.
