Lorde performs 'Royals' live at the Grammy Awards

On Jan. 26 singer-songwriter Lorde performed her single "Royals" live at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. The 2014 award show took place in Los Angeles at the Staples Center, and it was broadcast live on CBS. She was the second performance of the night and you can watch Lorde perform "Royals" live at the 2014 Grammy Awards here.

Lorde performed on the smaller round stage in the middle of the audience and she was backed by a drummer and keyboard player. She wore black slacks, and a white button down sleeveless shirt, while her backing band members wore all white. The song "Royals" was up for three Grammy Awards which included Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance.

The song "Royals" is the lead single from Lorde's debut studio album, "Pure Heroine". The album "Pure Heroine" was released in the U.S. on Sept. 30, 2013 and it went on to reach No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album was nominated for a 2014 Grammy Award in the category Best Pop Vocal Album.
