Lorde gets Selena Gomez's support even if it's not returned

Selena Gomez knows talent when she hears it and it doesn't matter to her if the talent in question disapproves of her. As reported by OK! magazine on Wednesday, Jan. 22, Selena Gomez gave Lorde her stamp of approval, even though the favor may not be returned, during a recent magazine interview.

"I recently did an interview and they asked me who I thought was up-and-coming and making a difference. I said, ‘She doesn’t like me, but Lorde.’ I’m going to support her whether she likes me or not because I think she’s doing great things. Some day I will see her and we’ll be cool," she told Seventeen magazine.

The New Zealand singer dissed Selena Gomez last year by criticizing her "Come & Get It" single as anti-feminist. Selena, who actually covered "Royals" during her tour, replied that the singer wasn't being much of a feminist herself by not supporting other female artists.

“That’s not feminism. [Lorde is] not supporting other women. That’s my honest opinion, that’s what I would say to her if I saw her," she said in response to Flaunt magazine.
