Las Vegas resident and president of LNBG LLC Lord Neil Gibson have received unanimous approval from the North Las Vegas city board to move forward on the Saber UPA project as spelled out in the Master Plan, which was up for approval and voting on Sept. 13, 2013. This approval was necessary for the project to move forward toward the completion of an innovative precision ammunition manufacturing facility and research campus in North Las Vegas.
During the recent meeting with city zoning and building department officials, the purpose being to learn more about the project specifics with regards to usage and community impact, city officials recognized that there is no comparable project in existence, furthered by the H-1 zoning being unique. City officials expressed excitement and interest in the project due to it's widespread positive community impact in terms of economic progress, as well as the ability of the project to bring jobs and tax revenue to the area. Officials voted unanimously to allow the project to move to it's next stage of construction.
The single element that needed further review was the usage restrictions that could be involved in the 20,000 proposed research and development facility building, and that concern was addressed to the fire marshal as necessary for securing of patents and product research for future manufacturing. The "no to low" flash muzzle research to be conducted within the facility was seen as a non-concern by the fire marshal, show expects to be able to move the project forward with no variances after consultation with city officials. Through the personal website of Lord Neil Gibson, as well as through the Saber UPA website, updates on the process will be made readily available.
