Lopez-Espinoza brawl in all out war on Iron Boy card at the Celebrity (Photos)

Chris Lopez (6-1, 2KOs) defeated Rocco Espinoza (4-6, 1 ND) in an all out brawl on Saturday, Mar. 9. The bout was presented by Iron Boy Promotions and was held at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix.

The two fighters wasted little time exchanging blows at the sound of the first bell. It was clear by the end of round 1, that this fight had the makings of a Rios-Alvarado type fight. Imagine watching two Arturo Gatti's fighting each other, that's what boxing fans witnessed.

Lopez, of Phoenix did a nice job cutting off the ring, pounding Espinoza with some crushing blows, but to the amazement of the crowd, Espinoza would counter back.

Espinoza, of Las Vegas looked like he was ready to drop numerous times during the fight but would not fall. He was pinned up against the ropes through much of the fight, but every time the crafty fighter would dig deep and punch his way out with some amazing upper-cuts.

At the end of the action packed fight, it was evident that boxing fans were entertained as they let the fighters know by expressing deafening cheers. The judges would score the bout 59-54, 58-55, 58-55 in favor of Chris Lopez.

Simply said, if this fight were televised on HBO or Showtime, Chris Lopez and Rocco Espinoza would be waking up superstars today. Both fighters have game, Lopez won this fight, but Espinoza has nothing to be ashamed about, he is a good fighter who can throw and take a punch.
