So Halloween is over and Christmas is still two months away. Besides eating until you pass out during Thanksgiving and shopping till you drop on Black Friday, what is there to do in November?

Folio Weekly’s Martinifest

All martini drinkers are invited to Folio Weekly’s 7th annual Martinifest at the Touchtown Club (Everbank Field) on Nov. 19. No, this is not in Jacksonville Beach, but it sounds like so much fun that it needed to be listed anyway. General admission is at 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased in advance for $25. Over 50 different martini concoctions can be sampled and live music will be provided as well. For more information, visit

Right Whale Festival

Sea to Shore Alliance is hosting the 2nd annual Right Whale Festival at the Seawalk Pavilion on Nov. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival celebrates the annual return of the endangered North Atlantic Right Whale to its only known calving area in the Southeast. The day will feature lots of activities including a beach cleanup, children’s activities, live music and a silent auction. For more information, visit

Teen game night at PVB Public Library

All teens ages 11-18 are invited to play games on Nov. 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ponte Vedra Public library, in celebration of National Gaming Day this month. An early demo of Gran Turismo 5 as well as lots of other exciting and popular games. For more information, visit
