While it's a little hotter than usual for June in Kansas, the Polo season opens this Sunday, June 27 at the Wichita Regional Polo Club, 9420 S. Broadway, Haysville. Polo is an exciting game on horseback that's almost non-stop action. The season opener is dedicated to Southern Winds Equine Rescue with a percentage of ticket sales and concessions for the day going to help with the cost of care for the horses.

Southern Winds has advance tickets, of which 100 percent will go to the organization. Tickets are just $10, you get to see a great game of Polo and help abused and neglected horses that are getting a second chance at life. There are still a good number of pre-match tickets to be sold.

Contact Victor McMullen, Sr., president/founder of Southern Winds to get your tickets and then head out to the Polo grounds at 1 p.m. to meet the Southern Winds horses before the match which starts at 2 p.m.
