Looking for forever: Stella needs a home

Stella may remember what it is like to feel loved, safe and at home, but it has been a while since she had that luxury. While she is certainly safe now and in loving hands, she still needs a home and all of the day to day happiness of being in one.

Stella's situation changed when she was given to someone who gave her to someone who turned her loose on the streets of New York City. If not for some dedicated rescuers who tracked her down and took her in, anything could have happened to Stella, including finding herself a ward of the NYACC, from which she surely would not have made it out alive.

A sweet, energetic and playful young girl, Stella loves to be loved and give love in return. She is currently residing in a boarding facility, where in spite of the attention she is getting, she is becoming stressed and depressed because it is just not the same as being with a family to call her own.

A foster or forever placement for Stella is urgently being sought. For now, it is preferred for her to be the only pet. She knows basic commands, but will need a bit of leash training. Stella has some allergies that are managed easily through her diet.
