If you are looking for a quick gift giving idea this season, try this recipe:
One box of Vanilla Chex
Two bags of Fudge Brownie gold fish
8 oz bag of pistachios ( get the ones you have to shell, shelled cost more.)
1 bag, Rold Gold peppermint stars
1 bag, Rold Gold coated pretzel rods
4 cups of Topsy's Cinnamon Popcorn
1 can of lightly salted cashews
1 jar of dry roasted salted peanuts
6 T butter or margarine
2 T Worcestershire sauce
1 and 1/2 tsp of art of spice, sweet and spicy seasoning
3/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion salt
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
In a microwave safe bowl combine the butter/margarine, seasoning, garlic powder, onion salt, Worcestershire sauce. Blitz for 30 seconds at a time until the butter/margarine is melted and well combined.
Place on a cookie sheet the pistachios, peanuts, and cashews. Pour the liquid mixture over the top and stir to coat.
Put into you preheated oven and let go for 15-20 minutes stirring every 5 minutes, until golden brown.
Once the nuts are golden brown, turn off the oven, and remove the nuts, and let cool for 30 minutes to 1 hour, then add to the rest of the ingredients that you put into a giant bowl.
Once all the ingredients are all in the bowl, get in there with your hands, and mix it together and put in jars and airtight containers.
At this point you can give them out, or put them in the cabinet to nosh on. If you are not eating right away, you can put it in the freezer, and enjoy whenever you are ready.
