Looking for a pet? Find the perfect dog or cat at Macon Animal Control

Macon Animal Control still has 5 or 6 of the "pardoned" dogs from last week available for adoption, foster or rescue. Their time is now up, and these wonderful future pets must find somewhere to go today or tomorrow.

These are the last remaining dogs from Pardon Week. Their time is up. Please come to Macon Animal Control (see map) and save them.

On Saturday, Nov. 19, the shelter will be open from 10 a.m. to noon to give the animals one last chance to live. Please go to the shelter at 1010 Eleventh Street (see map) and pick out your new furry family member.

Adoptions are $75, which includes spay/neuter surgery - cheaper than you can generally get the vetting done yourself.

Click here to see Shane Smith's photo album on Facebook of the dogs still in desperate need. We understand there is some sponsorship money available to help with adoptions, but call the shelter at 751-9200 to be sure.

Macon Animal Control has other dogs and cats available for adoption, too. Stop by Saturday or any weekday to visit the animals.
