Longtime Glens Falls area chef dead at 72

A longtime Warren County chef, Gansevoort resident Sylvester John “Junior” Flores, 72, died Sunday at Saratoga Hospital.

Flores, a native of Glens Falls, was a chef for many years at Massie’s Restaurant in South Glens Falls.

Among survivors is his wife of 38 years, Janet Flores, and their four children, Michael, Leeann, Scott and Shawn Flores.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon this Sunday (March 3) at at Carleton Funeral Home Inc., 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls.
