What's not to love about the Farmers' Market? A kaleidoscope of colors, a symphony of sounds, fresh, local produce, and a close-knit community. Market vendors take pride in bringing locally grown vegetables, meats, fruits, flowers, plants, gourmet cheeses and wines, and more, every Saturday. Longmont, we've got it lucky.

When it comes to the Longmont Farmers' Market, who could ask for anything more? Unless more could mean "more markets". Thought make you wistful? Well, guess what...more market opportunities are on the way!

This summer, Longmont Downtown Development Authority is partnering with Boulder County Farmers' Markets to make Wednesday night markets possible beginning June 25th, and running through September 24th. The Downtown Market will be held on 5th Street between Main and Kimbark in Longmont, from 4-8 om. Vendors are currently being finalized, but it is anticipated the Downtown Markets will feature 5-7 farmers, 12 packaged food vendors offering fresh salsas, baked goods, popcorn, and more, plus a handful of prepared food vendors.

"The focus of the Wednesday markets is two-fold," says Brian Coppom, Executive Director of Boulder County Farmers' Markets. " Our hope it to open the market more broadly to the Longmont community, and to give small local producers who may not have the capacity for a 33-week market the chance to create a larger customer base and grow their operations while offering more options for customers."

Like its Saturday sister, the Wednesday market will also be very community-oriented, Coppom says. The Longmont Development Authority/Boulder County Farmers' Markets partnership is working with other area non-profits and businesses, providing another venue to serve the community. Likewise, the community has greater opportunity to come and connect with our local farmers and growers. Coming to the market is a wonderful opportunity to learn from the experts, who enthusiastically represent their products, answer questions, and even provide storing and cooking suggestions. What a sensational addition to summer! See you at the Markets!
