Longfield Gardens introduces “how-to” blog

Longfield Gardens, an online resource for spring- and fall-planted bulbs, has added a new gardening “how-to” blog to its arsenal, hoping to help gardeners around the country develop a “green thumb” even if they weren’t born with one.

The blog’s inspiration, according to its opening post, is “simplicity and inspiration,” combining how-tos with ideas for showing off your bulbs and their associated flowers. The focus is on bulbs in this blog, because, as Longfield Gardens says “if you plant them, they will grow.”

Among the how-tos available currently on the new blog are how to force begonias (including an ebook to download) and how to make a terrarium using begonia bulbs. Its “Wordless Wednesday” feature showcases photos of gardens and cut flower displays.

Longfield Gardens is currently offering free shipping for orders of $50 or more, and offers cannas, dahlias, begonias, calla lilies, peonies, gladiolus, iris and many more popular bulbs. Check out their storefront here and their blog here.
