A very pleasant week of weather is expected to continue across the state after several weeks of off and on rain.

This will be our longest stretch of dry weather statewide in over a month and boy do we need it.

Many locations have received over 20 inches of rainfall over the last 2 months!!

Pleasant Fall/Autumn Weather

A trough over the eastern half of the United States will send a series of dry cold fronts (no rain associated with these fronts)   through the state, including a cold front that is moving through the state today and another front that will move through the state by Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

These fronts will reinforce the cool, dry, and pleasant weather conditions across the state over the next several days.

High temperatures will range from the mid and upper 60s across Northern Mississippi to the low to mid 70s across Southern Mississippi.

Low temperatures will be crisp and fairly chilly in the 30s across Northern Mississippi, especially across Northeastern Mississippi, while most other areas around the state will drop into the 40s with lows around 50 along the gulf coast over the next few days.

The next chance of any significant rainfall could come by early next week.

Everyone should get out and enjoy this very nice weather while it last as the state is in the midst of an El Nino Pattern that will likely continue the trend of very wet weather through the Winter Season.
