Long Run Hounds of Simpsonville, Ky is hosting its annual Hunter Pace & BBQ at Brownsboro Farm in Crestwood next Saturday, August 14, 2010.
This fun event is open to everyone and is a way to introduce riders to fox hunting and, perhaps, entice further participation in hunt activities.
If you haven't ever been to a Hunter Pace you're missing out! It's fun for both horse and rider because of the relaxed atmosphere, beautiful countryside and prizes to be won!
Here's how. First, there will be items placed along the 5 mile trail that shouldn't be there naturally. For instance, you may see a riding helmet dangling from a tree or a saddle pad draped across a fence. If you correctly identify all items then you get put in a drawing for a prize. The second way to win prizes is simply complete your ride within the pre-determined, but not disclosed, time limit.
Teams are comprised of 2-4 riders who may elect the jumping, non-jumping or family division. The cost is $55 per rider and the BBQ is another $20. It's not too late to sign up so get your team together and click here to get registered!
