'Long Island Medium' takes over The Inn at New Hyde Park and bumps school dance

The season premiere of “Long Island Medium” aired Sunday night on TLC with a live tweet to win a reading contest with Theresa Caputo. Family and friends surrounded the Caputos as the network commandeered The Inn at New Hyde Park, and consequently bumped a Long Island Catholic school dance to a smaller room to accommodate the reality TV show, which was conveyed exclusively to the Long Island Reality TV Examiner from the entertainer of the event.

As viewers tuned into the “Long Island Medium,” many Long Islanders undoubtedly recognized the popular catering hall located on Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park, across the road from MOBA Dance Academy, a popular dance studio, run by Jay Barrett and Natalie Mossa, which turns out national dance champions.

However, Theresa Caputo fans were not aware that a father/daughter dance for St. Thomas the Apostle of West Hempstead was scheduled for the room TLC seized for the season premiere of “Long Island Medium." This information was divulged exclusively to the Long Island Reality TV Examiner from the DJ that provided the music for the school event.

According to Frankie from FM Entertainment, The Inn at New Hyde Park allegedly contacted the coordinators to inform them of a room change two weeks ago, but offered no explanation as to why. He explained that the smaller room interfered with only one of the dances, which was a minor inconvenience.

The limbo line was stopped dead because all 180 people were on the limbo line and there was no room due to the downsize.

Frank, the owner of FM Entertainment said even with the last minute switch, it wasn’t an issue because all of the rooms at The Inn are large enough to accommodate a crowd of that size.

Apparently money, fame and a popular TV show, such as “Long Island Medium,” outweigh a much-anticipated father/daughter dance for a local school.

Enter to Party with Theresa for the season finale of “Long Island Medium” on Sunday, May 18, and be her guest at an undisclosed location, which will surely take precedence over another booking.
