With mixed martial arts still unsanctioned in the great state of New York, fight fans can get frustrated at times with the lack of live action. That all comes to an end on Friday November 13th as Master Michael Parrella and former world kickboxing champion Michael Corleone present Long Island Fight Night.
The card will feature 10 amateur kickboxing bouts along with 4 gi/no gi grappling contests. The event will be held at Kennedy Park Arena in Hempstead, NY.
Parrella who runs Master Parella's Martial Arts Center in Carle Place has been involved with some form of martial arts for over 30 years. Corleone has competed in events all around the world and has been featured on ESPN. The two bring a vast knowledge of mixed martial arts combined with a strong business acumen which they hope will create a long running, successful promotion that the fans of Long Island will be proud to call their own.
Parrella wanted to create an atmosphere along with an exciting night of fights and has signed local rap group No Good People to help liven up the night's event. In order to differentiate themselves from the other fight promotions who have popped up over the years, Parella and Corleone want to give the fans an experience they will never forget.
As if a great night of fights and a live performance by No Good People wasn't good enough there will be an after party at Moonlight Lounge in New Hyde Park. From top to bottom this will be an event that Long Island mixed martial arts fans do not want to miss.
For more information on the event and how to purchase tickets, please click here. Tickets are currently priced as follows. General Admission is $30.00, Floor Seating is $40.00 and VIP Ringside is $50.00. You can purchase tickets on the website or by visiting Master Parrella's school.
The card is being sponsored by Fighter Warehouse NY, Kayo Promotions, Gold's Gym and many local mixed martial arts schools. This is also a great opportunity for local fighters who are looking for fights as this will not be a one and done event. Plans are already in the works for another show in February.

can't wait for this event. Already got my tickets and I am totally excited!!!!
The promoters are really looking to make this an event that people will be talking about for a long time. Hopefully, sometime in the near future we will all be heading to Madison Square Garden to catch a UFC or Strikeforce card. I went to Philly for UFC 101 and it was awesome. Every hotel was sold out, cars were being rented, people were eating out. The revenue that one of these events brings is enormous.
