One of the major downsides of long distance relationships is not being able to kiss your partner on a daily basis. When International Kissing Day rolls around and you do not want to miss out on the fun, what can you do to get some of that mouth-to-mouth action? Below are some tips on how you and your partner can celebrate International Kissing Day from a distance.
A new device from Japan called the Kiss Transmission Machine, allows long distance couples to kiss one another from far away. You and your partner each have a kissing device in your own home which are both connected to each other through your PC. The two devices act in sync with each other. If you move the control one way, your partner's control moves in the same direction.
Although the device only appears to be a straw attached to a box, the creators plan to add taste, manner of breathing, and moistness of tongue in the near future. If the creators manage accomplish this, it could make it easier and more fun to connect with your long distance partner.
Another innovation in long distance kissing was introduced by Fabian Hemmert at TedxTalks Berlin. Hemmert created a phone which gives its users the ability to kiss a sponge on the phone; that sensation would then be transferred to cheek of the recipient.
This interactive phone will allows users to communicate emotionally also gives users the ability to hold hands through pressure sensors. Whispering sweet nothings into your partners ear is also made easier because this phone is able to use air to communicate, in addition to a sponge for kissing and pressure for holding hands.

Write a letter or poem about why you love to kiss your partner or what your favorite place to kiss is. Seal the letter with a kiss on this day and mail it for your partner to receive in a few days. This surprise, although a bit after this kissing day, will still feel like a celebration of the bond you two share.
If the chances are that you and your partner are able to visit each other on this day, perhaps for vacation, go to all of your favorite locations around your city, such as a park, coffee shop or movie theater, and take pictures of yourselves kissing. These memories will be necessary to keep your relationship going strong until the next time you see each other. Every time you are feeling down or a little lonely, all you have to do it pull out the picture of that intimate moment you shared with your honey and feel the love all over again.
Whether it's in person, over the internet or through snail mail, do not miss a chance to give your other half a smooch, although we rarely need an excuse to do so anyway.
