LONELY?

Valentine's day has come and gone and for some of us It will be memorable. For others, It will be just another day and for a good number of people, It was just a sad reminder of their loneliness.

Loneliness is something that many people deal with everyday, not just on Valentine's day. Loneliness has been around as long as we have and it is not going anywhere ... (unfortunatelly)

The interesting side of loneliness is that it happens even when we are in a relationship. That may happen because of our own issues or because our partner is not available either physically or emotionally.

Some people feel that not being in a relationship is almost as bad as a "sin". It hurts and paralyzes some of us to the point of having desperate feelings to resorting to extreme measures.

Sometimes I wonder if our "love" over technology has deepened that sense or feel of loneliness. Saying "hi" and wishing each other a good day through a text or e-mail, does not make us less lonely in the end. It makes us relate more, but superficially, I dare say.

The sentiment of loneliness is a deep feeling, nothing superficial about it. Loneliness requests your soul to come into play ...

Anyway, Valentine's day came and went but for some that yearly reminder is enough to last through the month of February until the next holiday.

Anyway, it is fun to celebrate but celebration of one? not so much !!!
