The London medley of the VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul concert on Monday night had people enjoying music from the United Kingdom. Taking a soul song from the Soul II Soul catalog, Estelle, Erykah Badu, Marsha Ambrosius and Questlove sang the 1989 hit Back to Life. In a one-of-a-kind performance, the entertainers came together on stage for the first time for an interesting combination.
A two part portion of the segment, Florence Welch returned to the stage to sing Annie Lennox’s hit single Walking on Broken Glass. The opportunity to share soul music from all parts of the world, the segment gave a reflection of London’s contribution of diva music.
The VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul concert was a mix of the great songs in soul, the music divas who are currently on the charts and a reflection of some of the best music has to offer. Performing for the fans, the audience got the best seat in the house when they turned in to watch VH1 on Monday night.
