The London Film Critics Circle has announced their award recipients with "Amour" being named Best Picture of 2012. The film also received Best Actress (Emmanuelle Riva) and Screenwriter of the Year (Michael Haneke).
Their awards presented an interesting split between Best Picture and Best Director, the latter of which was received by Ang Lee for his visually-stunning "Life of Pi," a film that also received the Technical Achievement Award.
As for the rest of the top awards, they've chosen from the list of usual names that we've been seeing throughout awards season, so there aren't any surprises to be found.
