Lolo Jones thanks God after getting word she is on the Olympic bobsled team

Lolo Jones found out on Sunday that she was going to Sochi to compete in the 2014 Olympics. The athlete was excited to learn the decision of Team USA and let her fans know. According to the USA Today on Sunday, the athletes included were Aja Evans, Lauryn Williams and Lolo Jones. The popular competitors will be going to Sochi as push athletes and brakemen.

Lolo Jones made the announcement to her fans on Sunday with a long post on her official Facebook page. The athlete had a long explanation on how she felt she arrived on the bobsled team and she offered thanks to God for the decision.

“God works all things for his good and glory. God can turn a mistake to redirect you,” wrote Lolo Jones on Facebook as she described on her accomplishment. “He can use a hurdle blocking your path to put you on the right path. It is all part of His plan.”

The athlete references the hurdle to reflect on her defeat in the Summer Olympics in London. Lolo Jones didn't medal in the Summer Games even though she claimed the spotlight. With Lolo Jones on the bobsled team all eyes will be on the bobsled team to see if Team USA comes home with the gold.
