Lolo Jones is worried about growing old without an Olympic medal. The athlete who captured the hearts of America and then failed to even place the London Olympics is back on track to see if she can win a medal, even if that means she picks an odd winter sport. Talking about her obsession with winning an Olympic medal in a sneak peek on HBO's Real Sports on Sunday, it appears that the medal is the most important goals she has for her life.
"I'm so desperate. Desperate," said Lolo Jones about switching sports and going into bobsledding. "It absolutely doesn't matter. And you know the hard question will be is if I get a medal for bobsled, and I get a medal finally for track, which would I love more?"
While the switch is a first for any big athlete, the star seems to capture attention from the media with her overwhelmingly odd admissions and friction she has with teammates. Even though she didn’t win at the London Olympics, the star got more attention about her virgin status than her medal winning colleagues. It was only days after the sporting event she even went on camera to complain about her treatment after losing a medal at the Olympics.
Lolo Jones definitely has become a celebrity in her self-promotion, but that might not help her on the quest to bobsled as she hasn't done it as long as other people in the sport and most of them are probably desperate too. Lolo Jones' entire interview will be seen on Tuesday during HBO's Real Sports.
