Actress Lindsay Lohan has rejected an offer to appear on the hit show "Dancing With the Stars." Reportedly, it would have been a nice windfall for the actress who has been getting into trouble with the law, and needs to settle debts.
A report on Jan. 22 from TMZ notes that Lohan was offered a whopping $550,000 to appear on "DWTS," but has declined the deal. Apparently she has been made several offers but has rejected all that have come her way. In a bizarre twist, she desperately needs money, but apparently doesn't want to dance to pay for it on a legitimate television show.
Lohan owes back taxes and it seems strange she would pass up such an offer. However, she has apparently told her friends "she'd never consider doing reality TV," yet another odd concept, as she and her family had previous reality shows on television. A rep for DWTS has told TMZ "We don't comment on casting," so Lindsay's real reasons for rejecting the whopping payout are still unknown.
As TMZ quips that "beggars can't be choosers." To her credit (no pun intended), Lindsay has appeared in the recent television film "Liz & Dick," in which she portrays Elizabeth Taylor. She's also going to be in three more upcoming films, albeit some are limited roles. "Inappropriate Comedy" and "Scary Movie 5" are both scheduled for a release in the next several months, while "The Canyons" is in post-production. However, she still has a lot of ground to make up, and an appearance on "DWTS" may even portray her in a more positive sort of light, if at all possible.
Do you think Lindsay Lohan should appear on "DWTS," or is it a bad idea all around?
