LOGO advice program 'That Sex Show' to debut in February

During Saturday's Viacom Media Networks' portion of the Winter 2013 Television Critics Association Press Tour, LOGO presented "That Sex Show," which will premiere Monday, February 4. The live call-in show is a “late night relationship and sex advice show” that features former porn star Katie Morgan, psychic Dougall Fraser, and psychiatrist Dr. Mike Dow. Heidi Hamilton, known for her radio personality, will host.

The series will air three times on weeknights, with a live call-in setup for 11pm Eastern and 11pm Pacific, as well as an online-only streaming option at 11:30pm Eastern. LOGO will repeat the episodes later for audiences who want to view another coast's program. Viewers will be able to interact via phone, video chat (Skype), or social network (Twitter or Facebook).

Contrary to the title, the series will be about more than sex, including how to meet people, break-up with significant others, and more. Executive producer Roy J. Bank expounded upon this by saying that "there is no more universal theme than sex, love, and relationships." Also, by including an openly gay panelist (Fraser, who calls himself "the queer guy with the third eye") and host, the show hopes to draw a wide audience.

Fraser also believes that, in this day and age, "people are a little bit more comfortable asking questions and being bold." The most questioned panelist at TCA, Fraser explained that a psychic is needed on the show because his job "is to look at what the next layer is." Dow confirmed that a psychic is a useful addition with his retelling of patients who would say "I was either going to see you or call my psychic." On the other hand, Morgan, in defending her expertise in sex, described her years in the porn industry as educational, as she would try the advice of others and is now aware of what works best in various situations.
