Logitech has this week introduced the new Z213 multimedia speaker system, which includes a subwoofer and two satellite speakers, for a 2.1 setup.

At only $29.99, this could be a good system for those who are budget-conscious while a compact design makes it a good option for small work areas.

The system can connect to a wide range of audio devices, be it any Mac or Windows computer, smartphones, tablets and MP3 players.

The subwoofer itself is down-firing with a four-inch driver and a wired control pod allows the system to be turned off and on, as well as for volume adjustment. There is also a 3.5-mm jack for headphones or that is built into the control pod. According to Logitech, the system is also compatible with their Bluetooth Audio Adapter, which connects to any system that accepts auxiliary or stereo input, such as a home theater receiver, that will let you go wireless.

The Z213 system and the Bluetooth adapter will be available this month, with the adapter retailing for $39.99.
