Logging in from a Golden Princess cruise from Los Angeles to Hawaii (Photos)

Ahoy maties, your National Cruise Examiner is heading to the high seas aboard the behemoth, 2600-passenger Golden Princess for a roundtrip cruise from Los Angeles to Hawaii. Be sure to stay tune for my daily log-ins.

The ship sets sail on Wednesday March 13 and spends five days at sea before arriving in Hilo. From there we head to Honolulu (where we'll be to celebrate my birthday on March 19) and then to Kauai and Maui before steaming back to Los Angeles.

We love days at sea when we can just lay back and watch the wake, jog around the long deck, go to the gym, indulge in pampering in Princess's fabulous Lotus spa (where we already booked treatments on line with the cruise personalizer) and enjoy the myriad of activities offered on the very, very large ship.

But of course days in Hawaiian ports are also glorious and we really look forward to heading off the ship to our favorite beaches and going off ship for lunch at the Monekypod, Four Seasons Maui and dinner at Chef Mavro (the ship stays in Honolulu until 11 p.m. so that means there's time to head over to our favorite chef's restaurant).

Have laptop, will travel--the ship is hooked up to WiFi so expect lots of intel and photos from our voyage.
