Smiles for Life is a campaign of Lodo Dental which provides discounted dental health procedures to their patients. At a recent fundraiser Lodo Dental chose Underwearness as the recipient of a portion of their fundraising efforts. The practice provided whitening services to their patients, which was able to be done with a donation by Philips Oral Care.
The proceeds received from the patients was split between the Smiles for Life Campaign and Underwearness. Lodo Dental was not expecting to be able to donate more than $500 dollars to Underwearness. To both of the organizations surprise they were able to give Underwearness a check for $1,638.30 due to the success of the campaign tripling the amount they thought they would give and receive.
Smiles for Life is the nation’s only comprehensive oral curriculum which is designed to add to the role of the patient’s primary care providers. This program is promoting oral care for all ages by developing and propagating educational resources of a high quality.
On October 3, 2013 President and Co-Founder of Underwearness, Koree Khonghpand-Buckman was presented a check for their portion of the campaign.
Established in 2008, Underwearness has donated more than 70,000 of pairs of underwear all over the world, but primarily in Colorado. Recipients of underwear include Clothes to Kids, Inc., Denver Public Schools, and The Salvation Army.
