Locals Create Dental Tourism Outfit

Have cavities, will travel. This is what Jeffrey Apton and his wife are hoping with their new tour company that connects American travelers with dentists in Panama. Apton is the incoming president of the Western Connecticut chapter of SCORE  (Counselors of America’s Small Business Owners), based in Danbury.

Pan American Dental Tours touts savings of 50 to 75 percent in dental care, in addition to the opportunity to see the sites of Central America. The company's travel consultants arrange accommodation and tours around your medical appointments.

"We save the patients money and the time it takes to find a good dentist outside the country," Apton told the The Danbury News Times last month. "And, they can enjoy the beautiful sites in Panama."
