A local graphic and web design company in Raleigh, NC has recently launched websites for two, trendy Raleigh, NC start-ups: ParlorDryBar.com and BlissPhotoBoothNC.com.
"It's always super exciting to get to work on projects for new business ideas, but these two were particularly fun," says Jessica Barrett-Lombardi, Graphic Designer for 90 Degree Design.
Parlor Dry Bar will be located in the new Crescent Cameron Village. Although their website is brand new, you won’t find any local competition on Google for “blow dry bar,” as this is the first hair blow dry bar salon of it’s kind in Raleigh, North Carolina. In fact, dry bars, themselves, are one of the newest trends in the hair industry. They differ from traditional hair salons in that the stylists here won’t offer you a cut or color because they specialize in only blowouts and styling.
Their new responsive website, launched on December 1, 2013, shares a subtle color palette of blues and soft greens with their similarly designed storefront interior. “We wanted to be sure our design for their website stayed as close as possible to look and feel they were presenting in the salon,” adds Jessica. The design aesthetic employs an “Instragram” - inspired photo treatment on much of the photography and imagery throughout the site. To further carry the trendy look, the salon website’s Styles Menu features kitchy, hand-drawn sketches of different style options available.
The second of the two December launches for this Raleigh web design company, was BlissPhotoBoothNC.com, a Raleigh photo booth rental website. If you’re planning a wedding or big event and want a party favor that truly “out-of-the-box” (pun intended) you might want to visit Bliss’ new website. Although the concept of photo booths is not completely new, the Bliss Booth’s fun, festive stylization and completely state-of-the-art functionality make it truly unique. The design of both the new website and their logo successfully communicates this fun and festive vibe with it’s muted pastel colors and retro type faces.
If you’re interested in seeing what’s trending on the Raleigh graphic and web design scene, it’s worth Googling over to one of these two new sites. You’ll find a couple of excellent examples of how the latest web technology can be combined with classic, good design to showcase two equally inventive new business concepts.
