WALA-TV and WPMI-TV used their local morning news programs to broadcast live video of a flag lowering ceremony that took place at Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile in observance of Memorial Day (Monday, May 26th) for the current calendar year (they were the only local TV stations to do so).
