Local Strikeforce fighter Caros Fodor gives back to the community

He may look like a mean guy who will take your lunch money from you, but Caros Fodor will likely be the most respectful person you could ever meet.  He always uses the term "Sir" or "Ma'am" when speaking to someone he doesn't know. He will look you in the eye and give you his full attention. But this young fighter is more than an MMA athelete;  not only is he an undefeated lightweight in Strikeforce,  but when he is not training he is helping Autistic children in a foster home.

The reality of MMA is that not all fighters are full time fighters.  When the fight is over and the lights go down, most fighters revert back to full time jobs to pay the bills.  Fodor does this by working at a local foster home giving care to kids in need.  Fodor himself was once adopted and sees the value in being a caregiver.

"I was adopted into a foster home and my mother...that's what she did, worked with autsitc kids."

It seems that a paycheck is secondary to the real reason Caros works there.

"It's very rewarding and the kids are great" Caros commented.

Fodor entered Strikeforce last year and has run off 3 quick wins including a 3rd round TKO in last week's Strikeforce Challenger Series event.   His most wanted opponent is Ryan Couture (son of MMA legend Randy Couture) but as of yet, that fight hasn't been offered.
