Local shops and service providers offer support

Even if you missed the Signing Time Foundation Benefit Concert, you don't have to miss the opportunity to peek into the program from the event. Within it are some advertisements from many local places of business who provided services, silent auction items, donations, or other sponsorships.

Many of these places are in or near Maple Grove and include businesses such as Mathnasium, West Irrigation Services, Barnett Kia, Maple Grove Community Center, Pacific Tan Co., Vinaigrette, Macaroni Kid, Heyrman Printing, and Willow Salon. Many of the businesses are offering discounts or specials for those mentioning their ad. As you visit some of these establishments, be sure to let them know that you appreciate their sponsorships and support of causes for kids with special needs.

There is also still time, through June 20, 2011, to help increase some of these donations by participating in programs such as the Dine and Donate program for Perkins in Maple Grove and Osseo where 10 percent of your bill will go to the Signing Time Foundation or the offer by Chanticlear Pizza in Maple Grove where $1 from each large pizza will be donated as well.

Another great offer is for $5 off of your registration fee for summer signing classes with Ronai Brumett. Signing is often a critical method of communication for typically developing babies and toddlers and even more so if the child has special needs when verbal communication may be delayed or not possible. The Signing Time Foundation has brought help to many families to learn this valuable communication. You won't want to miss next year's concert.
