'Local Roots,Global Shoots' an evening of gardening talks

As the 2013 Colorado gardening season commences, the Denver Posts invites you to head indoors for a night to get a jump start on the great outdoors at “Local Roots, Global Shoots,” an evening of gardening talks. Gardeners and would-be gardeners alike are invited to the Denver Post Auditorium on Thursday, March 28 to hear expert speakers share their knowledge, passion and experiences with gardening in Colorado. Those scheduled to talk include Jodi Torpey, founder of WesternGardeners.com; Carol O’Meara, horticulture entomologist for CSU; Pat Hayward, Executive Director of Plant Select; and Sandra Krishnan, Denver Botanic Garden’s Director of Horticulture. This one night only event is free to all but preregistration is required.
