Local rescue needs help finding lost foster dog

Duck Team 6 is asking for the public’s help finding a missing foster dog. Lucy was rescued by Duck Team 6 the first of November. In the 6 weeks since they pulled her off the streets, she first had emergency surgery for a prolapsed uterus, then surgery to be spayed a few days later and then yet another complication – a prolapsed bladder – required a third surgery. Through it all, she was an absolute sweetheart.

But on December 21st, she was being moved into a car to be transported and she got spooked and ran off. The incident occurred in the Uptown area near Fitzhugh and Travis. At the time, Lucy was nearly finished with her recovery and had just become available for adoption.

A $500 reward is being offered for her safe return. Possible sightings have occurred in the Highland Park area, as well as in the area west of Central Expressway near Lemmon and Hall. Volunteers are also keeping a close eye on the area in West Dallas near Singleton and Vilbig where she was originally found.

If you see Lucy, or think perhaps you’ve seen her recently, please call 214-707-7005, 214-893-4337, or 443-366-0597. She is shy and spooks easily, so it is important to call as soon as possible, but please do not chase her.
