After touring several historical sites, they met with Vatican officials to push their case in convincing the members that bringing Pope Francis to the World Meeting of Families would be a wonderful experience for the city of Philadelphia.

According to 6abc.com, a local Philadelphia station, Nutter and Corbett presented their case to "Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, whose Pontifical Council for the Family is helping organize the Sept. 22-27, 2015 meeting."

To further his proposal, according to 6abc, Nutter added that "the event offers Francis a 'unique moment in our common history and a signature opportunity' to speak about family concerns to a huge audience."

While it is still unclear if the Pope will come to Philadelphia for the event, the three will continue their case in insisting that the Pope himself needs to deliver his message to the people of the city. They will continue their case straight up to the man himself, whom the three will be attending a private meeting with at the conclusion of their visit.
