Milwaukee is flooded with Harley-Davidson enthusiasts for the 110th anniversary weekend and the roaring thunder may not be everyone's cup of tea. If you still want to get out and not be bombarded by people wearing riding boots and motorcycle gear, here are two shows packed with local talent at great music venues.
Kane Place Record Club's popularity has swelled thanks to their live performances and their take on mixing soul, indie, pop, and funk music together. Saturday's show is a vinyl release party for their new full length EP. Linneman's on E. Locust will be party central with the show starting at 10pm. Wax Addicts and Video Villains will also be at the show. This show is 21+.
Bay View's Cactus Club holds another local music option Saturday night with Sub Pop signings Jaiil at 10pm. Jaiil, another local group, released their second release for Sub Pop titled, "Traps", back in June of last year. Also on the bill are another Sub Pop signing, Rose Windows and Milwaukee's Old Earth. This show is also 21+ .
