Local milongas raising money for Japan

As of tonight, three local Los Angeles milongas have joined the Facebook campaign, Dance for Japan.

  1. March 26: Milonga Porteña in San Pedro, CA (20% proceeds)
  2. April 2: El Encuentro in Los Angeles, CA
  3. April 4: Milonga Viruta LA in Beverly Hills, CA

As of tonight, 25 March 2011, just before midnight, there were 16 milongas in New York, nine in California, two in Texas, one in Massachusetts, one in Missouri, two in Florida and one in New Jersey. Don't you want to join?

Hara is the wife of Jorge Torres and she lives in New York. She and her two kids model for Expecting Models and she is the founder and CEO of Felina Shoes.

Milonga organizers around the world are joining together to donate $1 (or more) for every dancer. Donations worldwide can be made directly through www.LionsClubs.org. (Put DANCE FOR JAPAN in the Comment field)

You can make a difference, and together the global Tango community can make a BIG difference. In any one Tango community, we are few; but globally we are many. This is an opportunity for us to "connect" in a way that not only feels good, it does good.
